There comes a time in the affairs of a people when the covenants that bind them as a nation lose their force and foundation, where the power of the State no longer resides with the people and its decisions no longer reflect their wishes, but rather where power has come to reside solely in the hands of a few who, protecting their own privilege, are no longer bound by the promises and obligations of the covenant that first created the nation.
These United States of America have reached such a crossroads. Equality before the law or on the platform of economic opportunity, no longer exits within the nation. Freedom, as well, is a word now used without real sense or substance, principally describing avenues of public distraction and diversion. Justice has been eclipsed in the interests of power and prosperity for the few. When a nation such as ours becomes adrift in such a manner, awash in a sea of controlling power brokers and corporate elites, there are few alternatives open to achieve a proper redress of grievances.
The time is perhaps overdue for the people of this nation to make their stand against the tyranny of a system so illegitimately conceived, a system based so obviously upon pervasive corruption, trickery, falsehood, influence peddling, payoffs, and the rise of a fascist oligarchy. Terror is not something hovering out there that may destroy our precious way of life. Terror is our own creation, our own reflection. Or should I say, it is the creation of the forces now governing us. Terror is a direct product of our way of life — produced by, and producing, a system grounded in propaganda (marketing or promotion), fear mongering, and other modes of psychological manipulation or warfare directed at the people by our own elites.
Our imperial overreach now requires that the powers running this Nation no longer seek to control only international “competitors” over there, but rather that it continuously look to increase its control over its domestic population over here. And of course, we have seen this increasingly over the past fifteen years since the unfortunate incident at the World Trade Center. From the pursuit of Edward Snowden, and the attempted silencing of Julian Assange, to the police action against Occupy Wall Street, and the violence perpetrated against the North Dakota Pipeline Access protests ~ including attempts to intimidate Jill Stein, Amy Goodman, and other journalists, freedom of speech has become one of the principal victims in this rise of authoritarianism across the land. Only speech that can be paid for with hard, cold cash works as we have seen increasingly since the Citizen’s United decision.
The cynicism accompanying such a perspective is virally evident in the current election cycle, and specifically as represented in the person of Hillary Clinton. Here we find the profoundest cynicism parading around as political correctness and self-righteousness fronting for a hidden and simmering loathing of the Other, the plebiscite. The obverse of such a person is the raw rhetoric and associated repulsive-attractiveness of a Donald Trump. It is Nietzsche’s Ubermensch v. Nabakov’s Humbert Humbert. Perhaps, as the Republican nominee himself recently stated, quoting George Bush, “It is time to drain the swamp.”

Regarding your last paragraph above kC, like most observers of the American spectacle these days, I’m still trying to make comprehend the exact nature of whirlwind that has been Trump. As in , is he even “for real” or not? I swore early on that he was merely a “rabbit” (whether a hired HRC stooge or otherwise) sent out early to tire the Republican field and ensure that whatever candidate emerged would be so thoroughly compromised that they’d be easy pickings for her highness. That part still holds up to current analysis, even though his thorough sweeping of the GOP field could not have been anticipated by anyone. His subsequent attempt to seem quasi-presidential in the early going after the convention, followed by his sudden vicious show of teeth in calling out Hillary’s many well-documented instances of naked corruption would seem to rule out the idea that he’s been her paid stooge from the start, or at the very least it would indicate that the pit bull has turned on his master. Not simply because he’s playing his part well, but because he’s now genuinely sowing the seeds of suspicion regarding election fraud and illegitimacy, which by the reaction of the DC glitterati, is simply WAY BEYOND the pale. And justifiably so on Trump’s part, as Americans have been previously conditioned to suspect as much by BOTH parties since at least the fiasco of Bush v Gore in 2000, and considering the FBI fix that has allowed Hillary to be a candidate in the first place, most intelligent neutral observers would have to include that this election has been fatally compromised right from the start.
And so, what does it all mean? First of all, barring yet another jaw-dropping twist of epic proportions (never say never!), the HillaBeast will almost certainly be elected the next POTUS. Whether or not she has Parkinson’s, whether or not she should be a convicted felon serving time, and whether or not the election itself is in any way legitimate by however you care to measure it, she will be sworn in and she will do whatever it is the powers that be that got her elected deemed so important that only she could do it. Likewise “The Donald” will accept the election results and go back to doing what he does best – promote the Trump brand – simply because he’ll have no choice in the matter. And the “truth(s)” of the election of 2016 will no doubt be consigned to myth and remain shrouded in mystery (just like 9-11), just the way ALL great stories of human struggle and power are. And whatever it is that HRC, Bill, and their well-heeled minions have in store for us all will remain, as always, simply inevitable, from an American/western perspective at least.
Best of wishes my Russian brothers and sisters! Hope you all realize that the hoi polloi here in the US for the most part realize that we have MUCH MORE in common with YOU than we EVER had with the delusional psychopaths that now rule us! Peace! Out.
This is an incisive and powerful piece. I suspect everyone here reading it would agree with its merits and verisimilitude to the dismal reality of our current situation. The problem I see is this: What has been so wonderful summed up here is not so obvious to a vast number of Americans. They have been under assault by the canniest and most effective propagandists probably in history. The deluge of disinformation is relentless, thorough, pervasive, overwhelming. Thus people are confused. And more to the point, the framing of the challenges outlined with such articulate clarity to readers of this site, would be lost on most people.
Many on the left — not pointing to the author or anyone here necessarily — look with disdain on the general public, consider them stupid, shallow, insouciant. I haven’t met every one of the 322 million, so I reserve judgment. Frankly, I think people are pretty smart. But they are distracted, filled up to their eyebrows with disinformation, false narratives, pure bullshit.
There are lessons to be learned here.
1) Yes, the oligarchs using the most powerful communication tools and manipulative methods have been effective. How? They speak the language of the average citizen, address his/her fears, hopes, priorities. Often they are go good at this that they get everyday citizens to act and vote against their own interests. Lesson: We have to talk in terms people understand, focusing on what’s important to them. What’s important to them are not abstractions or matters of principle. What’s important are matters of survival, avoiding pain, avoiding persecution and misfortune, staying and keeping their families healthy. These are bread-and-butter issues, not trivial or silly or unworthy. We should respect that and frame all of the excellent points above in that light.
2) Despite the best efforts of the most brilliant dissemblers a nation could possibly put to the task, everyday people know something is wrong. People are beginning to realize that they are being fed a load of crap. Maybe they would not articulate it the way this brilliant author has, but they see the cracks in the wall. Evidence? OWS, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump. People are frustrated, angry, and yes confused. But the official narratives are not making sense to them, because the official narratives don’t make sense. Not to the everyday citizen. Maybe they do to the Wall Street bankers and the transnational corporate CEOs. So we see are seeing signs of an awakening. Lesson: The time has never been better to put the message out there. “The system is rigged.” People didn’t need Donald Trump to tell them that, but he did. And it resonated. He talks like a moron, in short ADHD bursts. I’m not suggesting we imitate him per se. I am suggesting that there is a way to say what needs to be said in the language of the average citizens out there. Not talking down to them but talking with them.
3) We have been doing an abysmal job of messaging. The so-called anti-war movement is dead, “liberal” is the new F-word, all of the progressive gains of the past eight decades have been reversed or are under severe attack. This is not an indictment of the good intentions and hopeful vision of those who want a humane, egalitarian, peaceful, nurturing, sustainable world for themselves and their children. It’s a cold, objective assessment. We are really fucking up! We have retreated over and over from the enemy, compromised, given a little here and a little there, been naive to the point of absurdity in trusting the selfish bastards that are ruining our country. These folks have not been so accommodating and empathetic. They’ve been ruthless and merciless! Lesson: If we don’t get it together and understand that this is not a game of croquet but a fight for the survival of our country, we will lose everything and deserve our loss. The stakes couldn’t be higher and the ongoing class war any more vicious. Most importantly, it’s time to stop all the bickering over the fine points, put an end to the territoriality and protectiveness and snobbery which is nauseatingly standard operating procedure for much of the left, and pull together. There’s plenty to rally around, the public is ready, there are huge consensuses about a number of key issues which could assure victory if we can maintain some discipline and focus. Then once we achieve the necessary regime change in Washington DC, each splinter group of the progressive movement can go back to promoting those issues which are most dear to their hearts.
For any forward movement to occur in this country — as every “revolution” in history has demonstrated — as overwhelmed and intentionally divided and set against itself as it is, will require the creation of critical mass. I’ve seen estimates as low as 5% and as high as 30%. Whatever that critical mass is, it’s already out there. Millions and millions of Americans — certainly those who unfortunately are in the bottom half of the population in terms of income and wealth — are frustrated, angry, screaming for answers and solutions, not more empty promises and insults, like our current presidential race. Excuse the phrase but there’s a lot of low-hanging fruit, ripe for picking. That we have not been able to communicate with these folks, engage, mobilize, galvanize them, comes down to this: We don’t know how to talk to them. We are great at talking to one another, but not to the regular Joe and Jolene.
History is calling, fueled by the enthusiasm and idealism which prompts writings like the article above. It’s entirely up to us. We must put all of our creativity towards creating narratives and memes which the vast majority of American citizens will understand and embrace. I refuse to believe that it’s that hard. Who thought of “1% vs 99%”? Now there’s a meme which traversed the entire globe and is still recognized by billions of people. The problem is not the talent and creativity to do this. The problem is we really don’t try very hard.
We know what the problems are. Now it’s time to find solutions, and ways of communicating those solutions which will make sense to the 150+ million Americans who are waiting for the right words.

What’s the plan?
There are two options. One involves electing Trump… that will be hard given the top-directed selection process of ‘democracy’ at work in the USA. The other option requires a real insurrection. I could see an integration of the remaining native American tribes standing firm with the poor, the un- and under-employed, cheated retirees, disenchanted millennials, and defenders of the 2nd amendment, along with environmentalists, nativists, etc. But, the USA is now prepared for just such an event with the NSA, CIA, Special Ops, militarized police, FEMA and others armed to the teeth and ready to pounce at the first signs. So the entire scenario needs to begin with a 10,000,000 person march on D.C. A peaceful display of “our refusal to submit,” along with a list of grievances, and a demand for the military to dismiss all members of the Administration and Congress, sending them home or to jail, with a small contingent from the military making sure the checks go out on time. Then there needs to be a national dialogue and a real vote, direct democracy… to determine how we wish to proceed. The discussion needs to be led by our best minds, Chris Hedges and Stephen Cohen come to mind. There are others, I am sure. Well, there you have it!
Congratulations! There are now two people in America who have gone beyond whining and are proposing an actionable agenda.
The insurrection is coming, but it won’t be “led” by anyone in particular. Rather, it will be a bottoms up groundswell of people with nothing left to lose once their numbers get large enough, who first just turn away from the oligarchy, and then once that begins to take on momentum, actively attack the corpse once they sense it beginning to weaken. Could take a while, but then again, with HRC in charge, it might not. I agree with Kunstler. I think she’s going to brings things to a head very quickly, which might be a blessing in disguise after all.
I don’t think it’s “messaging” at all. I come from the great unwashed masses of the midwest, and these people have pretty much always believed the shit they do, and no amount of messaging gets through to them. Simple example: almost all of them believe SS and MC are god-given “rights” that they’ve “earned” through their own hard labor, while Obamacare is a “Socialist Plot” to impose “big government” on their healthcare. I’ve given up even trying to make sense to them. If they insist on wanting to make Insurance Company CEOs scandalously rich while they get denied care, who am I to say no? And rest assured, when the ICBMs fly under HRC, they’ll all fall dutifully in line as they anxiously wait to see Jesus come riding in on a cloud and save them all. Who could possibly make this shit up?

rather scholarly treatise from the Hah-vahd National Security Journal no less, entitled somewhat ominously as National Security and Double Government. I encourage everyone to download this and read it, as it will if nothing else, give you a decidedly “mainstream” academic view of US government that is only in any way “controversial” from a rather naive civilians’s point of view. At 115 pages, its actually a very quick and easy read, as it actually includes more author’s notes than it does actual material. It’s also a very “common sense” read, at least to this exceedingly small time career US.Gov bureaucrat, so I’ll get right to the summation.
The author, Michael J. Glennon, a Professor of International Law at Tufts University, postulates a two tier federal government: the “formal, ceremonial, elected and/or appointed government,” which he dubs the “Madisonian Government”, and the informal, bureaucratic, practical, and enduring government, which he dubs the “Trumanite Government,” after the Harry Truman (aka “the Eunuch”) presidentially proclaimed National Security Act of 1947, which established the current US National Defense organizational structure.
He then takes the tried and true academic “long way around the block” (thankfully, in this case) to establish exactly why he believes his hypothesis is correct and why it presents such an intractable problem to US foreign policy, regardless of the will of the voters and/or their elected representatives. And in short, I think he nails it all the way around, if only from a strictly “official” standpoint, as he obviously doesn’t have the luxury of entertaining so-called “conspiracy theories” in the context of an official academic paper/journal.
So far, so good. The truly interesting part of Glennon’s paper is what he couldn’t say, whether or not it ever occurred to him to say it or not. Which is what even such mainstream movies as The Good Shepard hint pretty directly at, and almost very died in the wool career “Trumanite” even at my level knows full well, “THE FIX” is almost always in play, and when it is, it’s almost ALWAYS a “Madisonian” intervention. And we Trumanites QUITE RIGHTLY in most cases RESENT THE SHIT OUT it and try everything in our power to subvert it!
As to how conspiracies such as 9-11 play into this framework, the overarching thrust and justification was no doubt Madisonian(!) in nature, which enabled it to overwhelm and drown out the Trumanite resistance both within and without the Federal and local governments, and of course the conspirators knew full well that the REAL KEY was carrying the event out successfully in the first place. After that, naive belief in the inherent “goodness” of the US Government and the inherent “evilness” of whatever prepositioned “villains” they had supplied would take care of the rest. In sum, it was a veritable “magic show,” relying mostly on the naive American public’s willingness to suspend disbelief and write a blank check in response.
Still think “we know what the problems are” and that we’re “merely waiting for the right words?” Um, no. NO we don’t, and NO we’re not! We haven’t even asked the right QUESTIONS yet, nor are we prepared to anytime soon.
Yes, the American public knows what problems they confront on a daily basis. They know and live them. This provides potential energy for a bottoms-up insurrection. That is all I’m referring to here. I’m not naive. The Deep State is clearly a nearly insurmountable obstacle. Revolutions typically don’t confront easy opposition. Its opponents usually have the winning hand. Which is why revolution starts by chopping off hands, sometime heads. My suggestions are to direct attention at where we might start. After that all bets are off as to what might be necessary. Starting, in my opinion, has a more likely chance of success than surrendering.
Having said all that, I’m sure everyone here appreciates the insights you have offered in lurid detail with requisite footnotes as to the enormity of the challenge.
Thanks. I encourage you to read the linked paper nonetheless, as it’s a decidedly “small case” example of what foreign policy change here in the USA is up against. And needless to say, it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the effects of what a half-century plus of such official government propaganda might have had on the people who might support something different.

Have the sexes ever been more divided? Some on the Alt Right are even saying that it was a mistake to give women the vote. How many women are in the tank for Hillary precisely because she would be the first woman president, and for no other reason? Do they even know that her obsession with Vladimir Putin, and Russia in general, is leading inevitably towards WWIII? And have they even given a moment’s thought about what would happen if their feminist hero declares her no-fly zone in Syria? As polls have shown that the majority of military-aged young males are for Trump, I’d like to offer a humble suggestion. (Just for the record I am a Vietnam-era vet and a member of Veterans for Peace).
If Hillary wins, I propose that all able-bodied young women who voted for her should join the military immediately. Conversely, it would be foolish for any young male Trump supporters to sign up. All active duty enlisted military who oppose war with Russia, should refuse to re-enlist. And all male officers should resign their commissions. Let Hillary’s devoted female flock fight the Russians by themselves and see who wins.

I’m back for a quick hello.
Sandy you are doing a great job here in what you bring up. I sent out an email to all my friends and family saying that I would cut ties with them if any of them voted Hillary but also that I would seek to make amends in political differences with anyone who voted for someone else or didn’t vote at all.
My reasoning is pretty simple:
First, Hillary is already inciting war with Russia via her constant “No Fly Zone in Syria” rhetoric. To do this before one has even been elected is unprecedented and totally outrageous.
Second, Hillary targets whistleblowers and even tried to have Julian Assange assasinated (thank God for Assange and his leaks btw!). I take that personally as a member of the alternative media.
And when the threat of violence exists dialogue is not possible – that’s what I told them and that’s why I told them I could not be friends with anyone who supports Hillary.
And for the record I am voting for Trump (please no guffawing) but only after much consternation and reflection. I do not claim he will be able to fix America, just a stop gap at this point. Economic collapse is coming regardless of who wins.
God help us all…

That’s a pretty enlightened position as well. Sort of a “reverse Bush effect” if you will. I remember coming to a similar agreement with most of my relatives during the Bush II / Cheney reign. Ironically, now we’re both on the same side again, but for exactly opposite reasons. They still think HRC is a “bleeding heart liberal” (the brainwashing succeeds once again!), while I maintain she’s further right (by several miles) than Reagan and more corrupt by far than Tricky Dick Nixon, who was actually set up for his fall by extreme elements within his own party and staff, and too politically naive and paranoid to actually be very corrupt (Eisenhower sized him up very accurately).

Has anyone here heard Michael Moore’s latest rant? Although, as a left wing democrat, he claims to still be for Hillary (I think) he makes a great case for Trump. He said that voting Trump sends a big, fat F*** YOU to the media, political, corporate and financial establishments that have destroyed the country and ruined our lives. I first heard it when listening to the conspiracy-minded Alex Jones Info Wars show and it was awesome.
Moore has obviously eschewed any paltry remnants of testosterone that might have at one time inhabited his utterly pitiful excuse for a male cadaver. But seriously, he’s revealed himself to be a straight up and down political ideologue, albeit a not very discriminating one at that. To continue to support the Obama/Clinton machine after 8 years of proof of what they’re about is either criminal or criminally stupid. I’ll give the fat man the benefit of the doubt and call him criminally stupid.
Moore suffers from a common disease among successful pundits: a high-fat diet. While there are plenty of fluids being pumped through his cerebral cortex, they consist mostly of unsaturated fats. Necessary nutrients are certainly not getting anywhere to be found. He did some good work for a while. His only chance of returning to normal cerebral function is to staple his lips together and live on hydroponically-grown vegetable juice for a couple years.
Far be it for me to defend Michael Moore, and do not accuse me of being PC, but I see significant fat shaming in both yours and DA’s comments. He may lack self-discipline for being obese, but last I checked excess fat does not affect brain function. I would provide his excellent rant (if any of you care to it would be great), but I have no computer ability besides typing and, according to my wife, I am incapable of learning.
Actually, obesity almost certainly affects your brain function as well, and as a life-long borderline fatty myself (I keep it in check through extreme exercise (1-2 hours/day of weight training and cardio), but I’m still one of those people you look at and can’t quite decide whether I’m just plain fat or am just “athletically stocky”), I think a little fat shaming is a for the most part a GOOD thing. Obesity’s a HORRIBLE condition to carry every minute of your waking life, and if a little shaming is what makes people finally actually do something about it, then they should be thanking their shamers for helping them out. It’s also a condition of affluence, even among the relatively poor here in America. But any way you cut it, Moore is just plain out of shape and FAT!
Trump appears to be in full cut bait mode now as well, cancelling fundraisers across the board (which were probably just sources of embarrassment at this point anyway) and muting his legitimate attacks on HRC as a never ending source of corruption while focusing on the now countless but ultimately just silly attacks of sexual impropriety that are being leveled from all corners. Perhaps that’s just the prudent thing to do, but this whole thing is beginning to feel like the Sanders surrender at the end of the primaries, where Bernie essentially gave up on a very winnable hand, especially as embarrassing Wikileaks emails came out showing the sheer mendacity of the HRC hen party. Well those hens are about to come home to roost for real now, and the whole world is going to pay the price for Americans’ apathy.

The Electoral COLLEGE is made up of COLLEGE level electors/voters, so they must necessarily be smarter about the whole election process than us garden variety, non-COLLEGE level voters. A sting operation (project Veritas) just busted Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Bob Creamer with several other cronies and their “charities” for money laundering by funnelling foreign funds through shell corporations for political spending which is a felony crime!
It all begins, starting 5 minutes in, with Brad Woodhouse, President of Americans United for Change (a non profit “charity”) being recorded on film and on camera discussing possibly accepting an ILLEGAL foreign contribution (bribe) to spend on political campaigning for Hillary.
Later, Bob Creamer (hidden political handler for Hillary Clinton and multimillionaire) is heard on the phone accepting the 20k political contribution from a foreign donor for the expressed purpose of helping to disrupt a political rally for Donald Trump. The sting operation by Project Veritas opened a shell corporation in Belize for this purpose (i.e. to make the donation clearly illegal).
Creamer tells the undercover (fake donor) to donate to Americans United for Change which is a C4 “charity” for whom Creamer works as a general consultant (also proven in the sting operation).
Cesar Vargas, founder of “Dream Action Coalition” is told that he should be careful not to repeat what is being asked of him because it is technically voter fraud and he confirms “…absolutely”. Presumably he is involved in directing the fake Trump supporters (remember the “Heil Hitler” guy that showed up at a Trump rally?).
Additionally immigration papers for a fictitious wealthy donor from Syria are requested from Bob Creamer in an effort to see just how far these cronies would go who responds that he will “see what he can do”.
Bob then says over a dinner meeting…
“Here’s what I do for the Clinton Campaign by the way. I’m a consultant to the Clinton Campaign. Wherever Trump or Pence go in the country, we make sure there are ‘press events’ in the tv market or whatever that drive our message wherever the candidate goes to drive his message, so that on any given day they will be between them probably in six places. So our team makes sure there are events in those six places every day…and we try to help define the other candidate”.
Bob then confirms he is on a phone call at 10:30am every day with Hillary and other campaigners to strategize. He goes on
“So then there are a couple people…a bunch of people in the Brooklyn office that are responsible for possible aspects of communication. Like we do rapid response and there is a guy there I work with heavily, is the guy I was just communicating with on that kind of stuff. For instance, I just sent him a note beforehand when we came here that said ‘my understanding is there might be another revelation of another woman talking about Trump this afternoon’ and he just sent me back a note that says ‘Is this lawyer that is going to do that?’. I said ‘I think maybe, it could be something else, I will try to find out”
Additionally Creamer visited the White House 342 times since 2009 – so now you know this corruption goes right up to the President.
But to put this into clear and simple terms..
They accepted foreign money to pay fake Trump supporters to show up with KKK shirts, start fist fights and do “Sieg Heils” as well as women to pay off to claim Trump groped them…which is of course a felony (using foreign political donations to pay actors to disrupt a rival political campaign):

I think the even larger lesson that needs to be re-remembered this election season is that actual “facts” become increasingly irrelevant in hotly contested contests where information and disinformation alike from all sides rules the airwaves, as they always do now. Supporters increasingly stake out their positions earlier and earlier every time and filter all evidence to the contrary completely. Only much later – if at all – do they reconsider the evidence supporting their decisions, and usually only then if they have reason to regret their decision in the first place. In the modern market place, most of us are no better choosers of political candidates than we are deodorant, dish soap, appliances, cars, or anything else. In fact, probably much worse.

We’ll see kC. Trump has a vested interest in using hyperbole, it’s probably the only chance he’s got left. My bet is that even if the emails are damning in the extreme, the cover up will continue regardless.The question will come down to whether or not the feckless GOP will do anything about it after she’s enthroned. And my guess is that once again we’ll be subjected to interminable amounts of hot air with no actual results, followed by another tried and true synthetic terror event to make us all forget about HRC and focus on whatever villain they want to trot out for us next. Almost certainly something related to Putin and Russia. Matter of fact, I’d expect to see all of that preemptively prior to inauguration to ensure a smooth transition from Obama to HRC under the guise of “proven, steady, and wise leadership.” Makes me want to gag just thinking about it all. The holidays should be a wild ride this year!
Looks like this one’s involving Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her sex-crazed pervy husband Anthony Weiner’s weiner. Should be great entertainment no matter how it all turns out for as long as it takes to play out! Think HRC will still somehow manage to ride it out though. We’ll see.

Wow! This one unfolded fast! I actually had work to do today, and so couldn’t spend all afternoon surfing the internet like usual, so it slipped right by me until a colleague stuck his head in the door and mentioned it. Apparently Assange has some more stuff to release next week as well(?) that will blow the lid off things proper. A lot to process with not much information available yet. My initial takes, assuming the current new allegations and whatever future new allegations remain to be leveled are true (in the sense that they actually happened, regardless of rationales which might explain them), which I think they probably are:
This is a duck and cover move on the part of HRC, Comey, and the entire Madisonian conspiracy to get her enthroned. Reopening the “investigation” lends much needed “gravitas” to Comey once again, and allows him to whitewash whatever new allegations come out this time and give the Queen yet another “clean bill of health.” This would also give Comey some pitifully small chance to save face with his Trumanite rank and file, who are quite understandably ready to stage a palace revolt of sorts for his whitewashing of the first investigation. Whether or not that would even work is of course entirely doubtful, but never doubt the resolve of a Madisonian candidate for the Supreme Office in the Land, never mind her now completely subservient bought and paid for manservant who now eats her shit from a bowl under the table while dutifully bound and gagged. Call it the doubling down option. I give this one a 99.9% chance of reflecting reality.
This is an actual bold political move on the part of Comey, indicating either a rather coldly calculated move on his part earlier to effectively dismiss charges against HRC, possibly knowing that more incriminating allegations would come out later and be MUCH more damaging then; or perhaps more simply, just an attack of conscience for his earlier malfeasance, and an attempt to belatedly make it right. Of the two, I’d say the first is FAR more likely, if only because it fits the typical FBI/CIA mindset. Comey’s not a dummy, so I think he knew full well what he was doing when he let The Bitch off the hook the first time, which is why I think that if he did it just because the Clintons had him crapping in his pants, he’d almost certainly never want to admit that now, no matter how much it ate at his conscience since. He would quite rightly NEVER live that down in the FBI/DOJ culture, and his career would be COMPLETELY DISGRACED and over. So in the end, I’d give the coldly calculating option a .09% chance of reality, and the attack of conscience option a .01% chance.
In the end, this whole “event” will likely be completely transpired and become a complete “non-event” by next Monday evening – MAYBE midweek – at the latest. I’ll hedge my bets and give that one a 90% chance of happening. Cheers!
True to form, this one’s already settled down to the level of noise for the time being at least. Doesn’t look like it’s going to affect the election in the least, although it might still affect the witch’s ability to govern in the aftermath, but I’m not holding my breath on that one either. I think at this point we here in the US are best advised to just chill, pour a tall one, and laugh heartily at our ridiculous selves, as rest assured, the rest of the world is doing that already.

Local purely anecdotal experience suggests that everyone I talk to’s pretty disgusted with the whole mess, and not surprisingly few really care who wins at this point. Personally, I mostly agree with the Archdruid’s latest:
So that’s it in a nutshell. More of the same dished out in larger and larger doses with HRC, or roll the dice with the Donald and hope beyond all hope that he 1.) Actually MEANS what he says and will actually attempt in good faith to get it done, 2.) won’t face crippling headwinds from BOTH legacy parties as he attempts to thwart the will of the MIC, and 3.) doesn’t get removed from office by whatever means necessary for being a threat to the MIC and the overall shadow government status quo. Once again, I’m not optimistic on any of those counts. And in the end, I think it’s extremely naive to put one’s faith in a single individual, never mind one so intrinsically compromised as Donald Trump. My main attraction to him is as a candidate that offers the prospect of simply blowing things up altogether. But that too is a rather simplistic impulse, and I’m under no illusion whatsoever that TPTB will ever let that happen, at least not with an approach as simplistic as Trump’s. No, the eventual collapse and dissolution of the US will proceed apace with either candidate, albeit probably (and ironically) even faster with the Queen HRC in charge, therefore I think it’s probably best to let nature take her course (good advice in general!) and let “we the people” have our thoroughly “bought and paid for” say.
So in summary (finally!), I think the major issue of this election – whether HRC will instigate WWIII and/or unleash the US nuclear arsenal – is largely beside the point. Granted, she very well might do all that as advertised, but so might The Donald, or whoever else lands in the big chair. Such is the nature of the influence the MIC and the unelected US Shadow Government in charge. And let’s face it, the American public has basically been down with this whole scheme for decades now, at least to the extent that they never resisted it. And in the end, it might just be a damn appropriate end (or at least the beginning of the end) for a civilization that embraced willynilly so many technologies based on underlying energy supplies that it always knew were exhaustible and foolishly allowed its population numbers to explode accordingly. We have no one to blame but ourselves and THIS is what the end looks like.

Totally inundated with the final campaign commercials this weekend, and once again I’m shocked at the ineptitude of the Trump campaign. While HRC hammers his every verbal faux pas relentlessly, maybe only one in every three or four of his attacks on her rampant corruption and inherent untrustworthiness. Gotta tell ya, I still have to wonder whether his whole campaign was even on the up and up, or if it wasn’t just some sort of hyper-realistic head fake at the voters expense. What a clown show!
