The Russian Appeal To Germany, By Egor Prosvirnin

My name is Egor Prosvirnin, I am the chief editor of the Russian site www.sputnikipogrom.com which advocates European values. I’ve heard that one of the aspects of life that Europeans, and Germans especially, cherish is history. If we were to recall recent history, we would remember that a vast army of 300,000 Soviet troops along with 5,000 tanks, 1,500 aircraft and 10,000 artillery pieces (including tactical nuclear weapons) simply left the then just-united Germany without firing a shot.

It was an operation unprecedented in scope and brevity, when the entire Soviet army withdrew literally to open fields. Tens of thousands of Soviet officers, obeying the orders of the supreme command, went from their warm barracks to live in moldy tents set up in the middle of sodden snow-covered fields. In many instances along with their families.

For what?

For hope. Hope that the dark pages of history between our two countries were finally and forever past. Hope that we no longer have to keep armies of tanks in the center of Europe, and that Europe would respect and consider our interests. Hope that in a united Germany we would have a good friend and ally, with whom Russia would fulfill the dream of Charles de Gaulle of a united Europe stretching from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

When our armies were leaving Germany, our soldiers were told that Germany had recognized and redeemed its mistakes of the past, there were no undecided issues with Germany, and that we would no longer hear German voices calling for retribution against Russia, therefore we did not need our Army of tanks positioned in the middle of Europe.

From that moment, Russians and Germans were friends, and friends have no need for vast armadas of armor and tanks. Russians should cease being afraid of a united Germany and disarm.

And we disarmed. And for 20 years we felt that we did the right thing, that the past is forgotten forever, and that the Germans appreciated how readily we closed all the bases and brought all the troops home (although there are American bases in Germany to date). In good times our friends know us; in troubled times we come to know our friends; and troubled times did come via the Ukrainian crisis. It became clear that the Germans do not remember the good. It turned out that the Germans did not learn the lessons of history, it seems that the Germans viewed the voluntary dismantling and withdrawal of our war machine not as humanism and goodwill, but weakness.

It turns out that when the Americans spoke loudly and sharply with the German chancellor, whom they for all these years have kept under surveillance like some sticky-fingered housemaid, the entire German society leaped up like a submissive dog running obediently to its American master…. even when the conflict with Russia goes against German economic and political interests. It seems therefore that if one blunts their sword, removes their armor, ceases the Soviet-era preparations for World War III, and is reaching out to the Germans, the Germans will spit in your extended hand at the first opportunity.

It turns out that Russians are yet again “Untermensch”, who can be savaged with impunity on the pages of the German press and punitive sanctions demanded from the rostrum of the Bundestag, while disallowing an opportunity for Russia to openly and equitably argue its case. It turns out, however, that the Ukrainian government can without any liability prohibit the Russian language, jail Russian activists, target residential neighborhoods with volleys of artillery, kill thousands of civilians who happen to be mostly Russian – and that’s OK. It is OK because it’s a “democracy”, and it suits Germany because Russians are “Untermensch”, because Russians are Jews whose blood for Germans is worth nothing. And what’s more, for trying to defend themselves, for attempting to return fire against the Ukrainian armed forces, Russians should be punished, publicly harassed, their will to resist broken, and then forced into an international Russian ghetto.

Then burn that ghetto, as the Trade Unions building in Odessa was burned with 49 pro-Russian protesters inside. Do you know how the Ukrainian social networks responded to this holocaust? By referring to the dead as “Colorado Shishkebabs”(*) – this is what tens of thousands of people in the Ukrainian social networks wrote, including indecent sayings copied into photos of the charred bodies.

We are again the subhumans, we are again nothing but animals that Ukrainian Nazis may kill with impunity, creating a “Russian-frei Ukraina”. According to the data collected by Human Rights Watch, only during this past July the Ukrainians killed one thousand one hundred fifty PEACEFUL RUSSIANS in the eastern part of the country, and these killings continue daily. Where are your protests, Germany? Where are your sanctions against Ukraine? Where is your vaunted humanism that you profess to have learned since 1945 by recognizing the errors from your past?

Saur-Mogila, which is located on strategic heights and is a memorial to Russian soldiers who died there 70 years ago during a fierce battle with the Wehrmacht, has once again been stormed. This time by the Ukrainian battalion “Azov” wearing their Wolfsangel patches, a symbol of the 2nd, 4th and 34th SS divisions, and you are silent! Russian militia are ducking behind the granite statues of Soviet soldiers from neo-Nazi bullets fired by “the National Guard” of Ukraine, and you dare to agree with the American nonsense about “Russian aggression”! Ukrainians shoot cities with ballistic missiles, leaving craters in places homes once stood, and you impose sanctions not against Ukraine but against Russia!

Again, troops are killing unarmed Russian civilians, and you are debating whether it is time to start delivering weapons to these murderers so that they can kill more Russians? All of your vaunted “politics of memory” and “learning from the past” is simply a pile of dog shit, as again before your eyes unarmed civilians are butchered, and you applaud this and promise these Ukrainian murderers fresh financing.

You have not learned humanism, you Germans. You have not learned responsibility. You have not learned to resist Evil and tell that Evil clearly to its face, “No, you are the killer, I will not help you, you must stop the killing immediately.” You have not learned to be a responsible, independent, free people, who are capable of giving good in return for good.

You are slaves who think good is a weakness.

In 1934, Hitler drove you like sheep, and in 2014 Obama is your shepherd. If tomorrow in Germany, the Americans open a concentration camp for Russians, half of you will immediately submit their curriculum vitaefor jobs as operators of the gas chambers, and your press will start to explain how this camp is patriotic and good for the German economy. It would then follow that killing these Russian “Untermensch”, crafting lampshades out of their skin for daring to resist, and sending this nicely packaged to Washington to please your American ally.

Germans have failed their test. When Evil has returned again to Europe, you do not even attempt to resist it, and immediately fall prostrate at its feet like a slave after the eagerly-awaited, long delayed return of your master. Serve Evil, impose sanctions, support the murder of Russians, supply weapons to the killers of Russians, justify this genocide – the end of your story will be familiar, because Evil cannot win.

I will conclude this text with a popular quote from the famous American stateswoman Ms. Victoria Nuland, who obviously makes the decisions in Ukraine instead of your Chancellor:

“Fuck the EU”.

Like it or not, but admit that the Americans are a smart people capable of accurately determining the “price” of a united Germany and a united Europe.

EXCELLENT post of material that definitely needed to be said! In the care of the US, the Germans and the rest of their EU sycophants have merely found the logical successor to Hitler’s Third Reich, with all the PR (propaganda) and technology advances that have been made in the interim further burnishing the luster of the Big Lie^TM. Rest assured though, when the US finally gets around to stiffing the EU for good (as we are in the process of doing as we speak), the EU cockroaches will all scatter for cover individually, just as they always have. And the US, as current events in Ferguson MO clearly show, will follow suit shortly thereafter. Gonna be mighty ironic when Russia, the first country to fall victim of the cold war, remains the last man standing in the end, when the US and its EU minions fall for once and for all based on their uncontrollable lust for global power, domination, and empire. I used to think that my 2020 predictions of collapse for the west were a bit hyperbolic, but no more! I’m not sure we’ll make it that long these days.

  2. Karl North says:

I first read this statement on http://vineyardsaker.blogspot.co.uk/, which I strongly recommend as an information source for what is really happening in the Ukraine. As a US citizen, I am not surprised by the evil ways our oligarchs are using Western European governments as lapdogs. It follows Washington’s standard playbook. But as a longtime Europhile I am saddened to see how the US empire has managed to crush almost every bit of European independence in recent decades. After all of the suffering caused by the Third Reich, how can these nations support a regime in the heart of Europe created by a bunch of Nazi thugs! Where is the sense of revulsion in Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen?

    • Disaffected says:

Amazing ain’t it? All the lessons of WWII lost in less than a century. Unfortunately, as Stone’s recent documentary The Untold History of the United States lays out pretty well, many of those “lessons’ were only propaganda pieces put forward for the consumption of the naive masses. The people in power, even then, had much different ideas all along.

  3. the Heretick says:

Good bit, the Russians have not forgotten the Great War, nor the lessons of Afghanistan. Seems the American people can be led around by the nose, and Europe is our lap dog.
Something the entirety of America needs to wake up and realize, don’t go poking a Bear. It is so apparent we need to set our own house in order, but it doesn’t benefit the 1%, so we won’t.

    • Disaffected says:

And I can’t imagine this playing as anything but a nuclear exchange if putsch comes to shove, as the US no longer has a conventional army even remotely capable of taking on Russia in its own backyard.

  4. DA, Karl & Heretick, I can’t quibble with your thoughts, much as I would like to; much as I would like to think that I’m dreaming and will wake up to a world that hasn’t been led into a global madhouse by a USA that has turned into the complete antithesis of damn near everything it claims to stand for.

I’ve been told there’s an old Chinese saying about being careful lest you become like your enemy. It may or may not be a true adage, but with 60+ years of life and a lot of history books under my belt and between the ears, the truth of it has been proved to my satisfaction year in, year out throughout recorded history right up to the present day.

It rests on fear—“the mind killer”, our inability to recognize and respect the humanity and needs of opponents and the authoritarian sociopaths among us—aided and abetted by a numbed populace of consumers grazing uncomfortably on dwindling incomes and trivial preoccupations—who compulsively define themselves by their enemies.

Mass cognitive dissonance sure is a bitch isn’t it? Especially when it seems that the same clowns who launched the Peloponnesian War have gotten the gang together again and returned to perform it on an intercontinental stage. If DA is right, then it will be the largest and shortest farewell tour in human history.

I appreciate the Vineyard of the Saker blog very much, but wish he would jettison the Zionist label. He has his own definition that confuses more than it clarifies. The unquestioning US support of Israel that began with Nixon and Kissinger in 1973, rests on a national petroleum addiction and the reflexive habits of empire than any fascination with resurrecting a Bronze Age vision of regional development and forcing it willy-nilly on 20th and 21st century Palestine.

Sandy, many thanks for posting this piece and introducing me to Sputnikipogrom which looks like a good reason to get a hold of Rosetta Stone’s Russian set sooner rather than later.

And just think Gordon, the best is yet to come! It now appears that Obama’s only purpose was to finish the disillusionment of the left and lay any anti-empire impulses among the masses to rest for good, which he has succeeded at in spades. At this point, it matters not one whit which brand of authoritarian thug(s) we install in 2014, 2016, and on down the line. HillBillary is by almost universal acclaim far to the right of any but the most rabid ReThuglicans, and the cross party sparring on issues great and small has been revealed for the political play-acting it in truth always was. We Americans are now, and in truth always have been, full of our own fucking shit. We are isolated, lazy, racist, and for the most part fat, uneducated, unsophisticated, provincial louts who really just want our own way and don’t care much what we have to do to get it, especially if we can pawn the actual dirty deeds off on to hired guns who will do it for us so we can remain comfortably in denial. Our so-called “exceptionalism,” about to go on its most full and colorful display in our national orgy of football/military excess for the next six months, is the cruelest of jokes we tell ourselves to further ease what little remains of our national conscience. In truth, we’ve had this coming – all of us – for our entire history, from the slave taking early years, to the native American and buffalo massacring middle years, to the environmental degradation, worldwide war making, and nuclear brinksmanship of the 20th century and today. We’ve been living on borrowed time since our inception, and the bill for our collective arrogance and stupidity is about to come due with interest. And the Christians among us damn sure better hope their god is simply a childlike delusion, cause I can’t imagine the motherfucker is going to be amused when he finds out about all the shit we’ve been up to in his absence.

  5. FIDO says:

My guess is that this rube has really forgotten history and futhermore has no concept of what German vs Russian disputes are all about. One can only hope that his ignorant antisemitic and stupidity never gets near the nuclear keys. Let’s get real about the war in the Ukraine and near abroad. Putin is trying to put the old USSR back together again. That is not my viewpoint. It is the viewpoint taken by many of my Ukraine modelers who have saved what remains of the toy factory in the war zone. Donesk Toy Factory according to my sources had some of the last moulds of the old FROG company. The simple fact is that the Ukrainians don’t lke the russians and remember the famines that the communists deliberately caused in the 1920’s and 30’s. As far as the germans are concerned. Part of East Prussia is stil under Russian control. The Russians never left Germany nor did they leave the near abroad. Many if not most Ukranians remember the infamous fire that destroyed most of the cultural heart of their national identity. The one simple fact is that for decades, Russian forces supported the Berlin Wall, How ignorant does this guy think we are? His antisemetic statements speak of his real background. The Protocols of The Elders of Zion is what this guy is all about. For years, Russification was the rule, ask the Polish about the Katyn murders that were committed by the Stalinists. One can only hope that all parties can come to their senses here and see this for what it is, No more Katyns no more progroms. No more digital lynching, No more, never again.

Me thinks they just haven’t met enough Wall St boys and their London and Brussels ilk yet then. If I were a Ukrainian looking to rush into the waiting arms of the west, I’d think long and hard first. And hold on tight to the silver and the family heirlooms while they’re at it. The fuckers will steal the fillings out of your mouth then send you a bill for their trouble.

    • kulturcritic says:

Fido, your avid reading regime is laudatory, if biased, and perhaps delusional. When, might I ask was the last time you lived in Russia or Germany for that matter. The relations between Germans and Russians here in Altai Krai is excellent. The Germans love the Altai and its people. They have homes here and love to vacation here as well. In fact, German language is infinitely more common here than English. By the same token, Russians love visiting Germany; and many of them have moved to Germany of the recent 10 years. So, you may want to rethink your rant, old friend. kC

    • the Heretick says:

I’m not read up that much on Russia, read both Gulag books, A Day in the Life, prefer Dostoevsky to Tolstoy and Chekhov, but I know the Reds fought the Nazis to a standstill.
I suspect the past has more to do with neo-Nazis than with the Purges. All of these “freedom summer” and “springs have CIA fingerprints all over them, that I do know.

  6. Disaffected says:

Kunstler’s latest podcast, a conversation with John Michael Greer is worth a listen. Two pretty sharp minds share their views on all of the current stupidity.

    http://kunstler.com/podcast/kunstlercast-256-a-conversation-with-john-michael-greer/

Collapse isn’t coming, it’s already here for the people being “kicked off the island.” The cognitive dissonance on the part of the rest is to protect themselves from the awful knowledge that they and theirs might certainly be next. This facade of denial could go on for many years or it might explode tomorrow.

Shale oil is little more than a speculative bubble. Another 2008 type collapse will ensue when it pops. [I think it will be worse and I can’t imagine another round of QE being implemented to get us out of it, as tax revenues relative to the amount of unpayable debt will be almost nil by then.] At what point will the cognitive dissonance simply become too much to bear for all involved?

Increased complexity has reached the point of diminishing returns. Exponentially increasing risk of failure for the short and long terms coupled with only minimal linear benefits for the immediate short term.

Mass cognitive dissonance leads to nihilism leads to passivity, which manifests itself as apparent stupidity and helplessness.

The US government is a weak, powerless adolescent, panicking to impress the world that it’s actually strong and powerful.

An alternative reserve currency may or may not emerge in the short term, but it will be characterized by extreme volatility if it does.

The past is not merely a collection of facts concerning things that objectively happened, but rather, we invariably frame it as a subjective narrative that conforms to our biases and justifies our present. [Hence the triumphal march of exceptionalist American history, which totally dismisses anything that conflicts with the official narrative.]

Prognosis: Economic collapse(s) and war(s), social collapse and reorganization, and all the usual stuff.

    • Disaffected says:

The system has been permanently broken since 2008, and all activity since then has been merely to foster the illusion that it isn’t.

Politics will remain business as usual from here on out because there simply aren’t any other alternatives to collapse. Any truly radical ideas would upset the current applecart, and are thus rejected out of hand.

The end of US military global reach is at hand, which will limit that fantasy to lobbing nukes on missiles in a pinch. That hopefully won’t happen, as many other countries have that capability too.

  7. Malthus says:

All I really care about and am concerned with is what rat bastards we “Americans” are. The worlds master hypocrites. Sorry probably doesn’t have anything to do with the article at all just something I have to say.

    • Disaffected says:

Directly relates to the article, as this whole Ukraine fiasco is little more than a US sponsored Shock Doctrine misadventure just like the untold many others down through our illustrious history. We always knew that a certain amount of skullduggery was going on in our name, and maybe it was even necessary to some limited extent. But it’s only now that we’re waking up to the depth, breadth, and utter depravity of it all. Fair to say we don’t even have a “government” anymore per se. More like a public/private ruling junta at this point. Too bad most won’t wake up to that fact until they’re on the receiving end of its violence and oppression, which for many, is happening as we speak. Having fought imagined authoritarianism and oppression in the form of the mythical “other” for all these years at great cost in blood and treasure, we are only now waking up to the fact that we ourselves have embraced those traits and become the world’s authoritarian oppressors. A common historical theme. In other words, we have met the enemy and he is us.

  8. Eddy says:

WOW ! With the exception of the Jewish references, and the anti-semetic claims, I thought this was a well thought out and accurate article.
However, it would appear the author is under the impression that Germans run their own country, this is a major error on his part. Study the German Constitution, there is very little there that supports such a belief. Germany is a vassell state, has been ever since it’s capitulation. WW 2, was after all the method used to ensure that came about, and it worked in spades. For any nation to believe Germany is run by Germans, they are making a BIG mistake, the same goes for the remainder of the European nations,( WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ICELAND) they all kowtow to their masters in the U.S. Brussells and the U.K. They don’t call London the city of millionares for nothing.
Witness the spying issue on Merkal, what was her response ? As a leading member of the state, she aquised, and quietly took her medicine, crawled back under the bed, verifying that she is NOT her own person, but the U.S.’s lackey.
I would think the author needs to change his focus from Germany onto the above centers I’ve mentioned, as the orders emanating from therein, are the ones creating the havoc in Europe today.
I was born in Germany, my father actually fought on the Russian front, wounded twice and still lived to tell the tail, and not a pretty tail it is at all.
In 1953 my parents decided to emigrate from Germany, as they believed the government being formed there was not a true representative of the German people and would in the long run, ensure another war, killing millions of people all over again.
My dad has now lain in his grave for four years, probably laughing at the Germans he left behind, as his prediction appears to be right on the money.
Remember, it was made by him in 1953, and if an old soldier could see the writing on the wall so far back, why can’t the rest of the Germans, or Europe for that matter, see it as well ?

    • kulturcritic says:

Eddy, thanks for the response.  I think you are correct.  Germany is a vassal state; actually it is America’s bitch.  Slap her around, rape her, sell her to whoever needs a female slave.  That is the Germany we witness now, everyday.
